Potato Salad

From the leftovers of Gschwellti or just because you like it, you can prepare a tasty potato salad.
The potential to save energy over other recipes is the use of the steam cooker: It is one of the most efficient ways to cook something.
Additionally, if you combine it with Gschwellti, a swiss dish, you only need to cook potatoes once.
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp capers
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 4 tbsp olive or sunflower oil
- 4 tbsp vinegar
- 1 salt to season
- 1 pepper to season
- 10 pieces pickled cucumbers
- 1 dl bouillon
Instructions
- Cook the potatoes in the steam cooker.
- meanwhile prepare a salad sauce from the oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
- Cut the onions and pickled cucumbers, add them together with the capers to the sauce.
- Add the bouillon.
- While the potatoes are still hot, remove the skin.
- Take around 1/10th of the potatoes, add them to the sauce and mash them using a fork.
- Cut the potatoes in around 5mm thick slices.
- Mix everything thoroughly.
- Enjoy your salad.
